| My heart was as full as my hands. Life is good :). |
We try to plan our trips to Disneyland during the off seasons so we don't have to deal with the crowds. Disneyland is so magical when you don't have to fight thousands of other people to experience it! Plus, this is the last year of having Austin home before he starts Kindergarten so we wanted to take advantage of having a wide open schedule as much as we can! And we just freaking love Disneyland and everything about our California trips from the beach to the fun hotel room experiences!! It's all so priceless and I treasure each family vacation deep in my heart. Oh, and it's only a couple hours away from home, and you can't beat that!
Since it was February, the beach was a little chillier than usual, but the kids didn't care. They could have had icicles hanging from their noses and they would STILL be out there having the time of their lives in the ocean! But it offered us a chance to cuddle in the sand on beach towels and that in itself was perfect.

| The two most handsome boys in the whole world! |
| In her happy place :). |
| I love seeing our kids in their wild element and listening to their excited giggles! |
The kids are always so excited for the hotel stay and I have to admit, they do so good! This particular hotel that we always choose has an arcade and a cafe which they are always overjoyed to experience. Plus it is shaped like a castle and has beautiful grounds to walk around and explore with a little peter rabbit garden and Koi ponds. We went for a little walk before bed that first night and Austin begged us to stay for a hundred million days :). HAHA I WISH!!!
The next two days were spent at Disneyland and it was probably our best trip yet! The kids did SOOO good! They seem to know the drill by now and we have the whole vacation and theme park experience down to a science. We know where to be and when which comes in really handy when you are trying to stand in line with kids as little as possible! Austin was a little more hesitant to ride the big rides this time around because he was worried about getting motion sickness (something we are dealing with every time he gets into a car nowadays) but I got him to ride Space Mountain with me and Josh took him on Thunder Mountain for the first time. So it was a win in my book!!
| Starting our day off right with Mickey and Olaf cookies for breakfast! Just look at the big smiles on those faces! |
| A nice old gentleman showed us this tree while we were waiting for Dad to get off the Indiana Jones Ride (thank you rider switch passes!) and the kids loved it! If you look closely, there is a little leprechaun house built into it! The man told us that a story book was written a long time ago about this leprechaun who lives in Disneyland so of course I ordered the book as soon as we got home and read it to the kids! Too cute! |
| Both kids love the maps they hand you at the entrance and they spend the rest of the day fighting over where we are going to go next. Don't even think about folding them wrong or throwing them out or the kids both lose their minds! Trust me on this.... |
| And Mom loves the tea cups!!! |
| We even got Dad to ride it with us! Like Austin, he gets motion sickness and this ride is usually one that he sits out and plays photographer for :(. |
| Austin LOVES to drive like a maniac on Mr. Toads Wild Ride! |
| Thanks to Evie, we rode the carousel a lot hahaha! |
| AHHHH IT'S PLUTO!!! |
| Evie loves Pluto! |
| I had to wait in line for an hour with this girl so she could meet Chewbacca! She LOVES Star Wars! As usual, Austin was too scared :(. |
| Evie's other favorite is Small World! She goes around the house singing "It's a small world afterall" ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!! It's the cutest thing ever :). |
| My handsome little prince on his noble steed :). |
| Evie could ride "The horsey ride" all day long! Well, that and Dumbo, but Dumbo was under construction while we were there :(. |
| She was so excited to meet every single character no matter how many times she has met them before :). Her excitement was so contagious!! |
| My whole world right here. |
We laughed too much, ate too much, and made so many beautiful memories.... and as always, I was on the verge of tears when it came time to go home :(. But as always, I got to work on planning our next Disney adventure and my tears turned into excitement once again :). Yes, I am basically living the childhood I always dreamed of having through my own children. AND IT HAS BEEN INCREDIBLE!!! :).
| The happiest kids in the Happiest place on Earth! Evie talks nonstop about Disneyland at home, at preschool, at church, you name it! Like her parents, she's just a little obsessed ;). |
| Smelling the pretty purple flowers that were everywhere. So sweet! |
PS. This was also how we spent our Valentines Day and the day of love couldn't have been celebrated better in any other place with any other people! I was with the three loves of my life in the happiest place on Earth! Somebody pinch me!! :) The sweetest moment happened that I will always remember and associate with Valentines Day when my sweet little boy stopped to pick a pretty purple flower and then gave it to me and in the sweetest shy little voice said, "I picked this for you Mom because I love you so much" and then he kissed my cheek. My eyes welled up with tears and I could have died happy right there and then! Have I mentioned how much I love my sweet family?!!!! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY 2018 :).

| Giving his Mama a flower :) |
