| Our little beauty! |
This has been a crazy couple of months and I got behind on my blogging, so I'm combining Eve's 5th and 6th months milestone blogs which means there will be LOTS of pictures!
Over the past two months, Eve went from being a wonderful sleeper, to a not so wonderful one. She wakes up on average 4 times a night, but sometimes it is every hour or two :(. She isn't alone. Austin has also been sleeping terribly lately which makes one extremely tired Mama! I should also mention that at 5 months, we put Eve's nursery together and she started sleeping in her own room! We knew it was time because she had zero room to move around in that little bassinet, but it was such a hard step for me to take! I love having my babies sleeping right next to me. It lets me know at all times what they are doing and if they are breathing. She did so good though! She went from sleeping terribly in the bassinet and waking up constantly to sleeping almost through the entire night and causing Mom to wake up at 5am in a complete panic!
She has learned how to turn on her mobile and sometimes at 3am I hear the music and her babbling to herself haha. She has started liking bath time a little bit more but still isn't the biggest fan of water. She is, however, the biggest fan of Austin! It doesn't matter if he is talking to her or smacking her in the head, she loves it! He can get her to giggle and laugh like no one else can and my heart instantly melts when we watch them.
At her 6 month well baby check, she measured:
25 inches (25th percentile)
16.1 pounds (50th percentile)
She started rolling over at 5 months and learned to sit up on her own at 6 months. She LOVES her jumper and could seriously jump for hours which helps me out sooooo much during the busy days! Her eyes have just recently seemed to gain color! It looks like she is going to be a brown eyed girl!!! Up until now her eyes were this deep black color and for 6 months we all wondered what color they would become. It looks like those Cherokee genes are running deep with this one! ;)
Her hair has gotten so long and is curly. I have a blast playing dress up with her and doing her hair! That part hasn't changed much haha. She is very much a Mama's girl and if I walk into the room, she can't take her eyes off me until she is in my arms. I call her my healing baby because she has this sweet, happy, healing spirit that can make you happy even on the blackest day... and sadly we've had quite a few of those lately....
