Evelyne's Newborn Pictures and Family

When Evelyne was almost two weeks old, we did our own little newborn/family photo shoot. My sister Briana helped us out so I could actually be in some of the pictures and then later I did the editing. I am pretty excited about how they turned out! Not bad for do it yourself!

We did the same thing when Austin was two weeks old but sadly Josh wasn't around to be in any of the pictures. It was such an insane time in our lives while we waited for our house to be built so Josh lived and worked in Vegas while the baby and I stayed in Logandale with my parents and recovered from the birth. I was sad he wasn't able to be around much at the time so I made certain he was present this time!

I wish I could say it was the wonderful, easy photo shoot I had envisioned but it was anything BUT easy and definitely not wonderful..... The baby cried and scowled through most of the newborn part and then Austin REFUSED to be present during the family part. This was the point when I wished we had hired someone to do this for us. I was single-handedly trying to find good lighting, position people, wrestle with Austin, calm Evelyne, and try to keep myself in check and smiling. There were a couple moments where I lost my cool and hurt some people's feelings but talk about serious stress! Because Austin wouldn't participate, the pictures we did happen to capture him in weren't the greatest and in most of them he was holding my hair spray bottle. We tried to take it away from him but instantly gave it back when he threw a major tantrum. So here it is, the best of what we could do, with what we had to work with. Let's just say all the flaws add character ;).
