Milestones: Evelyne is 4 Months Old!

Sweet baby girl!

 This has been an insane month for us (I'll blog on that later) so baby girl has had numerous new experiences and plenty of opportunities for growth! Sadly, she took life up on that and has grown quite a lot. Yes, I will forever wish my babies would stay babies....

At 4 months old, Eve is:

14.5lbs (50-75%), and 24 inches (25-50%)

She has been waking up more at night and drooling a lot 24/7 so we are thinking she is starting to teethe :(. She's growing like a weed! 3 month old clothes are tight on her and she is almost too big for the 3-6 month clothes we have! She loves to be held and isn't too picky about who is doing it... unless Mom is in sight. She has this thick wild black hair that makes her look older than she really is. People constantly ask me if she truly is only 4 months old because how is it possible that a 4 month old could have that much hair?! Her eyes still haven't turned a color yet. We are still banking on brown or green but nothing is for certain.

She loves Austin! She watches him constantly and gets super excited when he gives her attention... even if it isn't gentle attention. She also gets super excited when Daddy talks to her! She starts hyperventilating and kicking her legs super fast! She loves to talk and squeal. We have some pretty fun conversations with her! All in all she is still the perfect baby and brings the sweetest spirit into our home.

Brother loves to hold you. For a couple seconds at least..... then he says "done" and tries pushing you off his lap :).

Aunt Sadie loves to hold you! You made her so happy while you were in Utah with us during all the drama over the past month. She loved waking you up every morning and all the big smiles you gave her!

You are growing so tall! And look at that hair! A woman at the grocery store asked me if you were wearing a wig the other day. I thought she was insane at the time but now that I am looking at this picture, you do kinda remind me of Elvis (haha).

No matter how often I bathe you, your hair always looks wild and greasy! It's mostly from the spit up and slobber you rub your face in while you are sleeping...

It is so fun to squish you! You're our little chubby bunny :).

There's nothing more precious than watching you sleep.

You almost always fall asleep in the baby wrap while Mom is wearing you and chasing Austin around.

You love your Daddy so much! As soon as he comes home you cry for him to hold you and you won't let him put you down the rest of the night!

Milestones: Evelyne is 3 Months Old!

Our beautiful smiley girl!

Evelyne, you are still just as perfect as ever! You are learning how to make all sorts of noises and adorable baby sounds and you love to have conversations with anyone that will stop and talk to you. And if by chance you don't feel like chatting, you will simply flash them the biggest, most adorable open mouthed smile and win them over instantly :).

You have started waking up more at night (2-3 times) but you go back to sleep instantly once I nurse you. I'm not complaining though because this is still MUCH better than what I dealt with when your brother was your age!

After your bath (which you hate with a passion), I sing to you as I am lotioning you up and putting your jammies on and you start to sing along with me! It is the cutest thing ever! It's basically just a bunch of random noises made by you putting your lips in a whistling shape, but you think you are singing and I love it!

You love your brother (when he isn't mischievously hurting you) and you get the biggest smile on your face when he talks to you and plays with you! You are perfectly content to just sit and watch him do whatever crazy shenanigan he is doing at the moment. Every morning he runs straight for your bassinet and starts tickling you and saying, "Oh good morning baby!"

You are so strong for your age! I find myself carrying you on my hip like a 6 month old and then realize I probably shouldn't be doing that since you are so small, but you can hold yourself up so well!

We have been waiting to see what color your eyes are going to be when they finally change from that dark, almost black color..... and recently I've been thinking they're going brown! It depends on the lighting though.

You love to be held and cuddled. You are perfectly content almost always as long as someone is holding you. This is difficult though because your brother is also an attention seeker so you spend a lot of your time in your swing crying, while we are frantically turning off the gas from the stove, or attempting to put the toilet paper back on the roll, or cleaning up poop off the carpet, or whatever other crazy thing Austin might be doing at the moment :(. Mom and Dad both feel so awful about this but what can we do?!!

Despite not being able to give you 100% of all our love and attention, I promise we are all completely in love with you and everything you do. You are our little miracle :).
