LaFeber Life Lately: Busy Busy BUSY!!!

I've been using the money I've made teaching yoga classes to spruce up our house! We are loving our new patio furniture, garden lights, and outdoor fireplace!! It gets so stressful trying to do it all sometmes, but little moments like this make it all worth it!

Oh my... where to begin?!! This summer was one amazing adventure after another and then school started and suddenly we were transported into structured schedules and LOTS of work in every sense of the word! We are going to California this weekend and we REALLY need this vacation! If anything, just to breathe! I can't promise this will all be in order, but here is the picture wrap up of the LaFeber life lately!!

Someone always falls asleep in bed with us, and I'm not complaining!

The kids LOVE to do my hair!! Most of the time I love it too, but sometimes it's pretty painful! Pain is beauty eh? ;)

I bought these adorable rompers and loved putting Evie in them all summer!

SOOOO many pool days! Every day this summer was a pool day if we weren't busy doing something else fun!

Gymnastics class this summer was a huge hit! The kids loved it and I loved watching them grow and become more coordinated!

Cooking was put on the back burner so to say, because we were so busy all summer doing outdoorsy things!

But on this particular day, the kids were begging to make some animal cookies!

So we did! And they were delicious!

I can't even count how many times we got together with friends for a day of swimming..... seriously, having a kid who can swim on his own is a huge game changer! Thank you swim lessons!!

Lucky for us, Jolly Beans Cafe is right next to the pool! So we got lots of muffins and other yummy treats because swimming is hard work!

More pool days!

I've also been working out with friends really early in the morning at the church and it has been amazing! Our kids run around playing and we get our sweat on!

Watching the summer rain from the safety of indoors because this particular storm was FULL of loud lightning and thunder!

And of course there were water balloons! Because when have we had summer and not had water balloons?

We went to Wet 'n Wild a lot with our season passes! This was also a year of game changer now that the kids are older! It was so much more relaxing!

Every morning we walk Austin to school and then watch him run and play tag with his friends until the bell rings :). It's the little things like Evie being his water girl and cheering him on that makes me smile :).

On our walks home from dropping Austin off at school, Evie loves to say hello to every plant and tree... it makes my heart sing to hear her sweet little voice talking to nature :).

I've also done plenty of yoga each morning, and now I do it out on our front porch now that the weather is cooler!

We do learning time while Austin is away at school and Evie loves it! She's so dang smart!

More pool days!

I took Austin on a Mommy/Son date one night and he loved it!

Well, more like he crashed my girls night out party, but he loved being the only boy and he had all these ladies loving on him so it was a pretty successful date night! hehe!

Long walks to the park and stops at the neighborhood cafe = PERFECTION!

Lots of exercise and lots of pool time! This was the theme of our summer!

Austin wasn't too thrilled at being woken up early so Mom can go exercise hahaha! It's payback time baby!

I've been working on doing morning meditations and positive affirmations with the kids before school. Hopefully it helps Austin to have a good day and to feel confident! He is making more friends than ever before so maybe it's working?

Evie started a little neighborhood Preschool with all of her church friends! Every week we Moms rotate who is teaching at our houses. She is loving it! And how adorable are these little sweeties?!

Each day they go to a different friend's house and learn something new. I'm loving how every Mom has something unique to teach in their own way/style. It has been a huge success so far!

We also said goodbye to the kids' daycare "Children's Learning Adventure" which was sad but also exciting. Evie misses it but it saves us so much money and she loves going to Blakely's house instead! Blakely's Mom is one of my closest friends and she is our new babysitter! I don't know what I'd do without her because dropping two kids off at two different schools and coordinating pick ups was blowing my mind!

I felt that Evie is finally old enough to use the ballerina music box my Mom bought her years ago! She absolutely loves it! My Mom had always wanted one when she was little but never got one, so this was a very special purchase for her Granddaughter :).

Austin is doing great in school! He's gotten into a couple fights which I wasn't excited about, but both of them involved him standing up for another kid getting picked on so I'm more proud of him than ever before. Love you Bubbas!

Nana and Thomas came to visit because I was throwing them a babyshower! We were so excited to see them! They moved to Indiana so this whole new baby cousin thing has been so bittersweet....

I started my own yoga business in July and it has kept me on my toes! I'm talking serious stress for a form of exercise that is supposed to not be stressful! But I'm taking it a day at a time and trying to not yell at my kids too much.... ha.

Mom took a little time out and enjoyed a Yin Yoga class at the studio up the street! It was just what I needed that night!

My little girl LOVES yoga just like her Mama! This has been such a fun bonding experience now that I am the teacher and she is constantly having little friends come over for lessons!

Austin is hit and miss with Yoga. Sometimes he likes it, and other times he is more of a distraction and gets sent upstairs. the Ying and the Yang...

This is my little student Emma! She mastered crow pose in one lesson! ONE LESSON! These kids are incredible!!

My children's yoga classes have been successful.... almost TOO successful! I've had to cut classes out each month just to feel like I am staying afloat in all the other aspects of my life! But this is something I am grateful for because it means I have started a thriving business that people love! And THAT makes me feel proud and complete :).

In the evening I have all my older students come after school and they are by far my favorite!

We have so much fun together!

But on the days when life feels unbearable, we head to Wet 'n Wild and Mom turns off her phone..... :)

Our goal was to go to Wet 'n Wild every week which didn't exactly happen but we sure went a lot!

And they sleep the whooollle way home!

Mostly it was just Mom and the kids, but sometimes Daddy got to go with us!

Daddy worked a lot of overtime this summer so moments like these were even more precious.

Austin was finally big enough and brave enough to go on the BIG waterslides! He loved it!

Our last day at Wet 'n Wild did not disappoint!

We also got to go up to Mount Charleston and spend the weekend in Uncle Dave's cabin that his company owns! It was such a nice time out from life!

This trip had it's ups and downs (like Evie refusing to use an outhouse while hiking) but overall it was just what we needed :)

We had plenty of cousins to play with which was awesome and very loud! haha!

Evie also started ballet this fall! We got out all of my old dance costumes and dance shoes so she could try them on! It was such a special experience for me!

Her leotard hadn't arrived yet for her first dance lesson, so she wore mine! It was 27 years old but still had some magic left in it!

Grandpa Nate came to spend the day with us and watch Evie dance... It was so sweet!

Afterwards he treated us to lunch and then caved when Evie begged for ice cream :)

Daddy also got to see Evie dance for the first time this week! He got off work early so he could meet us there and watch her!

And it has suddenly dropped in temperature so you know what that means! HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS!! And by dropping in temperature, I mean it is now 85 degrees during the day hahaha!

The kids were beyond excited to hang all of these fun Halloween decorations up around our house and outside! I sure do love this time of year!

Like I said, busy doesn't even to describe our summer and the beginning of our fall! It was just one adventure after another and I wouldn't have it any other way! God is good :).
