| Searching for eggs on Easter morning :). |
We had a wonderful Easter that was full of all things sugary and fun! The kids and I hit up the Primary Easter Party now that Austin is a little Sunbeam and we had a great time hunting for eggs and eating our potluck lunch in the grass at the park :).
We also attended our annual Community Easter Egg Hunt which was extremely windy and colder than planned, but also so much fun! Evie cuddled right up to the Easter Bunny but, as always, Austin was too scared and wouldn't go near him unless I was holding him.... The kids did great hunting for eggs and Evie had fun getting her arm painted while Austin played in the bouncy house. There was also a farmers market which is always a plus for me! So all in all, it was a pretty dang good time!

| The bouncy house was a big hit with this guy! |
Dying the eggs the night before Easter was a big hit! I only boiled a dozen eggs because I didn't think there was any way my tiny family could eat any more than that but then later regretted it because the kids kept wanting more eggs to color! This was the first year they were able to work on their eggs almost completely independently (except for Evie a couple times) which made it fun for Josh and I to sit back and watch. The holidays are such a blast with kids!!

Easter morning was a fun blur of waking up to find baskets full of toys and candy, and searching for eggs in the yard. Austin woke us up all throughout the night asking if the Easter Bunny had come yet and if he had eaten the carrots Austin had laid out for him. It wasn't so funny in the moment, but it's a sweet memory I look back on now :). Grandma Helm also surprised us and showed up that morning with fun gifts for the kiddos and good conversation as always. We love her so much and I am so grateful our kids get to know their Great Grandparents so well! Then we went to church and enjoyed a yummy ham dinner afterward with stuffing and deviled eggs (Austin's favorite)!

It was a peaceful, happy day and I was grateful. Grateful for our Savior's sacrifice, grateful for the fact that he arose three days later and has completed the path for my families eternal salvation. This little family of mine means everything to me and life after death without them wouldn't be worth it.
