LaFeber Life Lately

Soaking up the sun at the M Resort!

We've been busy! Just the way we like it!

We have been recovering from our amazing Memorial Day weekend. We all took turns being sick with a nasty stomach bug that week but it didn't stop us from partying like it's 1999!

Josh and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary that weekend!!! It was a week early but we wanted to take advantage of his extra day off over the holiday so we could pull an overnighter at The M Resort! It was so wonderful..... Where do I begin? The Hotel was sooo nice! The food was worth every penny. The gigantic bath tub was to die for (always a must have in my book)! And the pool.... let's just say WOW!! My favorite part of our little staycation was waking up to complete silence, walking downstairs to grab breakfast, and bringing it back to the room where we sat in bed and watched the news together. That NEVER happens in real life so we soaked it in while we could!

Breakfast in bed!

still can't believe we've been married 6 years, have two beautiful babies, own our own house, have both completed our education, and are now spending our days working hard and playing harder! Not every day has been a dream, but my life overall with Josh has been a dream come true and so much more 😊. I love you baby!

We came home on Memorial Day and had a BBQ with the kiddos! Austin helped Dad BBQ the hot dogs and corn on the cob while Evie girl and I cut up the watermelon and warmed up the baked beans! We made a picnic of it on our front porch and topped it off with firecracker Popsicles! It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it! Both were a complete mess by the end but it was well worth it!!

The grill master himself!

Happy Memorial Day!

The rest of the week was spent playing outside....

Nursing the sickies and lots of cuddles along with some really crazy nights that included Austin, poop, the walls, and finger prints. I'm sure you can do the math 😏....

Going out for free ice cream sandwiches and balloons at CREAM with Briana and Trevor to kick off the start of summer.....

The balloons were a big hit!

More ice cream got on her clothes than in her mouth but it's the experience that counts, right?

Trips to Austin's favorite smoothie joint in pajamas....

As well as making smoothies at home and enjoying them on the kitchen floor because we just love smoothies that much! But mostly because that's all Austin knows how to cook 😉....

He loves looking through his baby boy bakery cookbook and deciding on what to put in his smoothie!

My Uncle Scott (my Dads brother) and Aunt Nancy from Texas came to town so we had to make sure we got some time with them! Friday after work we left the kids with a sitter so Josh and I could go out to dinner with them, Grandma Helm, Sadie, and Uncle Ken & Aunt Diana. We went to our family favorite restaurant, The Conductors Room at the Railroad Pass Casino! We purposely left the kids at home so we could enjoy our amazing dinner and actually get a chance to catch up with everyone. The last time we brought Austin (I was pregnant with Eve) I spent the entire time out in the hallway chasing him around and had to eat my dinner later at home.

That Sunday I brought the kids to Boulder City to see everyone! It was so much fun! We ate Grandma's famous waffles and strawberries w/ whipped cream for breakfast and spent the entire morning outside! The adults talked while the kids ran around the yard, playing in the sprinklers and having a good ol' time! Austin was Uncle Scotts little buddy the entire time, playing with trains and building a ladybug windmill ☺️. We don't get much time with my Dad so it makes my heart happy that my kids can at least develop a special relationship with his side of the family. It was a wonderful day!

Oh how we love Great Grandma Helm!

Running wild through the sprinklers!

Evie being a silly goose!

Playing trains with Uncle Scott. Austin was saying "All Aboard!" all night afterwards ;)

Hanging out with Great Grandma.

Oh how I wish we had a big back yard for this boy!!!

"Hey Uncle Scott, whatcha doin?"

What a great day!

Whew, all in a weeks work and we loved every minute of it! Well, almost every minute.....
